Gratitude Creates Happiness

Thanksgiving may have past, but it's not too late to take the journey to having an attitude of gratitude. Developing a personality trait of being grateful will boost your career, encourage better sleeping patterns, support radiant health, develops your personality, and so much more! Change won't happen overnight, but over time practicing one of these gratitude acts daily will lead you to more happiness.

  1. Each morning before getting out of bed, say three things you are grateful for. It could be the warm bed you slept in, the roof over your head, the alarm clock that woke you up. It can be anything big or small. The other day I was grateful that for the extra roll of toilet paper in the bathroom!

  2. Daily you can write down what you are grateful for in a gratitude journey. It doesn't have to be long. Make it short, simple, and convenient. On days that seem there is nothing to be grateful for, look back at your gratitude journal and read what you have to be grateful for.

  3. Create a gratitude door, wall, or cork board in a location that the entire house can view often. Place a pad of post it notes and a marker by it. Everyday write something you are grateful for on the post it note and stick it to the door, wall, or cork board.

  4. Each day write a little note for a co-worker, friend, or family member letting them know you are grateful for them.

When practicing one of these tips for 21 days, your attitude for gratitude will begin! Your happiness will increase and the happy memories will become of abundance!
